FFL Lorton will not have any in-person worship service until further notice.
Our Praise and Worship Ministry is a multi-faceted ministry where people of all ages and abilities are able to develop and grow in their spiritual journey with Christ through music. There are exciting opportunities for spiritual and musical growth for all ages. No matter what level of ability one has, there is a place for everyone through singing, playing musical instruments, or leading. We invite you to discover the joy of serving God through the music ministry. It is good to praise the LORD and make music to your name, O Most High, to proclaim your love in the morning and your faithfulness at night, to the music of the ten-stringed lyre and the melody of the harp. Psalm 92:1-3.
May it be powerpoint slides, flyers, website, video promos, sanctuary design, anything that is art related these guys always deliver. We are proud with our FFL Design Team.
The ministry of ushering is a vital part of our church ministry. Ushers represent the church in a very visible way and help set the tone in preparation for the worship service as well as assist with the smooth conduct of the worship experience. Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would be a doorkeeper in the house of God than dwell in the tents of the wicked. Psalms 84:10.
Spiritual experiences during the preschool years form a foundation of faith among the children and prepare them to make a personal commitment to Christ when they are older. At the Sunday School, children are not only provided with lively and fun activities that would help build their faith and knowledge about Jesus and the Christian life but, they are given utmost care and attention to ensure their safety and well-being while they are under the care of trained teachers and sitters. The Children’s ministry team takes their responsibility seriously in obedience to Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go, Even when he is old he will not depart from it.
The Youth Ministry is a group of teenagers who are on the 7th to 12th grade. Every Saturday morning, they meet for fellowship and study in a relevant environment where they can be accepted for who they are and nurtured so they grow deeper in their relationship with Christ, empowering them to live out their faith. Don’t let the excitement of youth cause you to forget your Creator. Honor him in your youth before you grow old. . . Ecclesiastes 12:1 -3.
Our Young Adults are comprised of college age students and working young people from age 20 to early 30 who are single. To effectively equip and empower them to fulfill their calling, there are two E-groups during the week they can attend: the Tuesday Discipleship class and the Friday Bible study. The Tuesday Discipleship class is focused on the study of the Word. Those who attend the Tuesday fellowship desire to deepen their walk with Christ and increase their knowledge of God’s Word so that they too can effectively disciple others. The Friday Bible study is designed for those who are new in the faith or are attending a Bible study for the first time. Bible lessons are led by the Young Adults themselves as part of their training and the Bible lessons are integrated with exciting fields of interest such as dance, music, poetry and the arts. Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity. 1 Timothy 4:12.
